Nuclear power has reached the point where it should begin replacing coal plants. In this paper we will discuss how nuclear power compares to coal in four main categories: political, economical, plant risk, and environmental effects. Whether or not nuclear power is a viable replacement for coal is discussed through statistics and research. It was concluded that nuclear power plants present a better option than coal.
