In this study, Z. mobilis had been used in the fermentation of sweet potato starch to produce fuel ethanol. The yeast extract had significant effect on the production cost of ethanol. Response surface methodology central composite design was applied for medium optimization. Both experimental and model values confirm the influence of yeast extract on lipid synthesis.
