(154h) Influential Teacher and Valuable Colleague

Roger Schmitz excelled at all of the activities of the modern academic, not the least of which was teaching. Some first hand recollections will be relayed based on a class taken a slight while ago.

Roger also provided essential guidance to the academic enterprise of Notre Dame as Dean and Associate Provost during the years of incredible growth. While it is often difficult to perform such tasks "with a pure heart", Roger not only kept his integrity, but exhibited an even rarer (among, say, Dean's) trait -- a clear head!
