Efforts to produce biofuels as alternatives for petrofuels often runs into issues of renewable raw materials tat can be utilized. As a result, we have explored use of sewage sludge for biofuels. This paper will discuss the different constituents in sewage sludge that can be used for this purpose. Lipids and polymers present in the sludge will be identified and chemistries for their transformations will be presented.
