(497d) Design of Microfluidic Platforms to Screen for Crystallization Conditions
Author
Geoff G.Z. Gong - Presenter, Abbott Laboratories
Efficient screens for crystal formation and polymorph identification are an expensive and critical step in active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) development. In this talk we will discuss our efforts to develop microfluidic platforms capable of screening for suitable crystal forms and conditions of potential APIs. These microfluidic platforms utilize much smaller amounts of API per condition screened than the present well-plate based crystallization screening methods.
