The paper will report on recent actions of the CAPE-OPEN Laboratories Network for the benefits of end-users of process simulation and vendors of such software. Taking into perspective the progress made these recent years by the CAPE-OPEN standards in terms of implementation and usage, plans for 2010 will be shaped out.
