- (335b) Study of Multi-Breakage of Liquid Droplets with An Ideal Mesh Pad
In this work, it is studied the interaction of single liquid droplets with several single wires and ideal mesh pad (multi wires) in order to study the outcomes from their collision. Breakage it is the most possible outcome; however, this phenomena's could be binary, ternary or high order breakage, producing a distribution of possible droplets size at the end of the section. To carry on these experiments, single and multi-wired mesh from several materials have been tested in order to see the effect of increasing the amount of interaction and also to see if the properties of the mesh has any influence on the droplet size distribution. Different liquids have been employed to analyze the effect of surface tension on the final droplet diameter.
The results droplets generated by the interaction of a father droplet and the wire or mesh pad will be analyzed and statically correlated in order to establish the distribution of size and the influence of several operational conditions.
