- (28f) Evaluation of the Operation and Efficiency of A Solar Panel Located IN the CITY of Bogota, Colombia
The initial phase of the project was the collection of information and data in both field and in the offices of IDEAM (Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies of Colombia), Secretary of Environment of Bogota and ICONTEC (Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification).
Data were obtained as temperature, slope of solar panels, piping drawings, flow, environment of the panel, panel materials and components, etc..
With data generated daily radiation at the station IDRD (Institute for Sport and Recreation District), started a collection and analysis of the radiation statistics annual, monthly and hourly through graphics. With these data and some data obtained in practice proceeded to evaluate the thermal efficiency of the collector, ŋ that is to say the total incident radiation (direct + diffuse) on the area of the collector.
Then proceded to identify nonconformities that the system presented according to the NTC (Colombian Technical Standards).
According to the analysis were generated strategies and recommendations for improve the system working and consequently increase the efficiency of the collector.
