Microalgae have been gaining great interests as a feedstock for biomass and an alternative method for carbon dioxide removal. In this study, a draft-tube bioreactor is used to cultivate the microalgae, chlorella.sp. A lipid probe using Nile Red is employed to determine the intracellular lipid content of the microalgae. Effects of carbon dioxide concentration, light intensity, and system pressure on the growth and lipid content of chlorella.sp are studied.
