In this study, isobaric vapor-liquid equilibria of a binary mixture of 1-propanol and benzene, which shows severe nonideal behavior with azeotropic compositions, were measured by using a recirculating equilibrium cell from Illudest at various pressures ranging from 20kPa to 70kPa. The measured VLE data were satisfactorily correlated with UNIQUAC and NRTL models along with the thermodynamic consistency test. The excess molar volume of the mixture was also measured using a vibrating densitometer.
