This case study illustrates integrated use of Finite Element analysis and stochastic simulation in design of novel self heating products. The synthesis of reaction and transport processses within the product, design of the key particle encapsulation process, and integration of several manufacturing/packaging steps were accomplished with aid of advanced computation techniques to enable timely introduction of the initial set of products.
