(67e) One History of Industrial Process Synthesis

This presentation will trace the development and use of process synthesis techniques in one company over more than three decades. Adventures in task-oriented systematic generation approaches, heat integration developments, energy-efficient distillation sequencing, mass separating agent synthesis, process intensification, nonideal separation synthesis algorithms, and process network superstructure approaches will be discussed, illustrated by actual industrial examples.
