H NMR and C NMR are applied in combination to study the kinetics of wood extract hydrolysis. Because of the complexity of the wood extracts, single component NMR is not enough for the detection of both monomeric sugars and oligomers. This study attempts to establish a standard for the biomass extract analysis.
