(455b) Conceptual Design and Cost Estimate for a Solar-Powered Hybrid Sulfur Hydrogen Production Process

This paper will describe a solar-powered Hybrid Sulfur cycle thermochemical hydrogen production process conceptual design developed at Savannah River National Laboratory. The design leverages Hybrid Sulfur cycle process developments made under the Nuclear Hydrogen Initiative. An H2A analysis based on Aspen Plus flowsheet simulation results was used to estimate production costs.
