- (610d) Numeric Simulation of Radiation Chamber in Furnaces
The radiation model used in this study was IMMERSOL, which is a proprietary radiation model developed by CHAM. Combustion phenomena were modeled using the 3 gases model, which considers the reaction fuel + oxidant -> product (only 3 species).
Finally, the temperature, velocity and pressure profiles, among others, will be shown throughout the radiation chamber. Hence, this work aims the study of the main physical phenomena that takes place inside the radiation chamber of a general furnace using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) as a tool.
