Author
Kulkarni, A. - Presenter, GE Global Research
Nanotechnology is proving to be a critical enabling technology across many GE businesses. There is tremendous potential in leveraging the novel material properties found at the nano scale to reach breakthrough performance levels for future GE products.
In this presentation, the nanotechnology advanced technology program at GE Global Research will be covered. This program is active in a number of areas, with a primary focus on energy and healthcare applications. Various nano platforms and efforts to drive towards commercial applications for products across GE businesses will be discussed. Topics such as the nanotechnology value chain going from raw nanomaterials to intermediates to final nano-enabled products will be covered, including specific examples of our various targeted products and their position within the value chain.
