(382a) Biofuels and Biobased Products – Making Them Competitive and Sustainable

There's a lot of press about biofuels. But there are substantial technical barriers inhibiting a truly sizable and sustainable, biobased economy. There are also practical limits and ethical tradeoffs to how much biofuel or other bioproducts can be obtained from our remaining, arable lands.

This presentation will provide an overview of these barriers and the USDA research underway to overcome them.
