We performed volumetric adsorption isotherm measurements on a new[Zn(bdc)(ted)0.5]?2DMF?0.2H2O (bdc = benzenedicarboxylate, ted = triethylenediamine) metal-organic framework. Before starting our adsorption measurements, we outgassed this sample under vacuum at 373 K for ~15 hours. After the outgassing was completed the sample cell was transferred and reconnected to the adsorption setup without reexposing it to air. Hydrogen and argon adsorption isotherms were measured at 66 and 77 K. In addition to determining equilibrium adsorption isotherms for these adsorbates, we also measured the kinetics of their adsorption processes. The time needed to reach equilibrium after a dose of gas was admitted into the cell is around ~40,000 seconds for both gases in the low pressure, low coverage region.
