2006 AIChE Annual Meeting

Session: Nanoparticle Assemblies and Superlattices

This session seeks papers that deal with fundamental issues as well as applications in nanoparticle or nanocrystal based assemblies and superlattices. These assemblies could be in various forms such as microspheres, films, monolithic colloidal crystals, or molecular-nanoparticle hybrid superstructures. Both experimental and theoretical/simulation work are welcome. Fundamental issues include, but are not limited to: particle-particle interactions, particle-molecule interactions, molecular self-assembled monolayers, controlled nanoparticle aggregation, and molecular templated microfabrication using nanoparticles as building blocks. Device performance characterizations are also relevant to this session.
