Session: Implantable Biomaterials in Honor of Stuart L. Cooper's 65th Birthday

Stuart L. Cooper is a recognized pioneer in the application of synthetic polymers as implantable biomaterials, especially in the design of polyurethanes for blood-contacting applications. In a career which has spanned positions at the University of Wisconsin, the University of Delaware, the Illinois Institute of Technology, North Carolina State University, and the Ohio State University, he has left an indelible mark on the chemical engineering profession by mentoring over 100 graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. This invitation-only session celebrates Professor Cooper’s multifaceted contributions on the occasion of his 65th birthday by bringing together leading experts in the field.
