(700d) Novel Catalytic Materials: from Nanoporous Foams to Nanoparticles

The presentation will deal with novel catalytic materials such as nanoporous metal foams and nanoparticles prepared by self organisation of colloidal particles on suitable supports. Studies under ambient conditions will be linked to UHV studies on model systems of reduced structural complexity. The materials being in the focus of the presentation are gold and bimetallic Co/Pd and Co/Pt systems.
