(44e) Surface Chemistry and the Single Pellet Diffusion Reactor

The juxtaposition of a surface science system amid single pellet diffusion reactors in the Petersen lab was a catalyst for the integration of surface chemistry and reaction engineering. A brief history of this ongoing integration is proposed. An example is provided in the application of the single pellet diffusion reactor and detailed kinetic modeling to studies of reactions under dynamic conditions.
