Since the the first report of peroidoc mesoporous silicas by Mobile in 1992, many attempts have been made for the preparation of mesoporous transition metal oxides for their distinctive properties such as high surface area and high active sites. Among transition these metal oxides, TiO2 is well known as one of the most interesting materials, due to wide band gap and excellent photoactivity. Mesoporous TiO2 materials are generally prepared using self-assembly of structure directing agents and sol-gel reaction. However, the removal of templates by thermal treatment causes significant collapse of mesostructures. In this study, preparation of mesoporous TiO2 particles via nano-replication technique using various mesoporous silica materials as rigid template and applications such as photocatalytic activity will be presented.
