(329c) Balancing Structure, Partners, and Goals to Achieve Strategic Fit in Collaborative Product and Process Development
Author
Petrick, I. J. - Presenter, Penn State University
Strategic fit implies a convergence of the right set of partners, organized in the right structure, with the right goals to achieve the desired product and/or process developments that actually yield lasting economic value. Unfortunately right must be defined by the context. This means that a deep understanding of collaborative relationships must underpin any successful effort. This paper will focus on lessons from the field drawn from over 20 years experience in university/industry, industry/industry and consortia collaborative activities.
