Group II peroxide materials were investigated for solar thermochemical energy storage. Strategies were proposed to improve the longevity and reactivity. The proposed material matrix was able to operate longer cycles without deactivation, demonstrating the suitability of such system for solar thermochemical energy storage. Different techniques such as thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), XRD as well as SEM/EDS were used to study the material properties and performance.
