EPRI has continued to conduct research on the cost and feasibility of CO2 capture and storage technology for both new and existing fossil power plants. This research has considered both coal and natural gas assets. Through analysis of expected costs and experience in actual technology demonstration projects, EPRI has developed insights on key issues likely to challenge widespread deployment of CO2 capture and storage.
