Global Trends in CCS: A View of Project Status

Carbon Capture and Sequestration projects continue to mature and more forward despite the many challenges that they face. Many of these projects explore not only capture in the power sector, but also capture off industrial processes. This progress is critical since it contributes to the growing knowledge and experience base that drives the furtherance of CCS on a global basis. This paper provides a summary of projects to date and emphasizes the importance of R&D activities ranging from the bench-top scale to full scale demonstration.
