The communities have enjoyed the vast benefits that chemicals, oil and gas industries can bring and has brought to people's daily lives. Similarly, we all recognize that we do not live in a hazard free environment and risk scenarios and sometimes mistakes are made or the unexpected happens, leading to accidents and also the adverse environmental impacts. Lately society has become less tolerant of avoidable accidents and events, especially the catastrophic and especially when it shows that were caused by negligence and lack of attention to risk management.
